Painted en plein air on the beach at Burgh-Haamstede on an exceptionally warm summer day. The second painting of the day. The sea provided some relief from the heat: I dipped my feet in the water for a moment between brushstrokes, then returned to the painting.
Created in preparation for the Kunstschouw 2026 exhibition on Schouwen-Duiveland.
