I thought, why not paint some big ones! Quite difficult if you are used to smaller sizes. This painting is an enlarged version of an en plein air painting. Both are for sale (contre-jour).
Backlighting, also known as contre-jour, is a technique in which the light source is directly opposite the viewer. Fun to explore how to get that effect as strong as possible in your painting! Back to my favorite place to paint the evening sun!
