Powerfull sunset

Painted en plein air on a warm evening on the beach at Burgh-Haamstede. Just as the sky was turning beautiful evening colors, my family came by to bring me an ice cream. Very sweet of them, of course—but it happened right at the very peak of the sunset. So I’ve probably never eaten an ice cream so quickly.
Created in preparation for the Kunstschouw 2026 exhibition on Schouwen-Duiveland.
