On a warm day, my daughter went swimming in the Kromme Rijn with a friend. After dropping them off, I went looking for a beautiful spot to paint. I had never painted here before. This is the place where the Langbroekerwetering and the Kromme Rijn meet. It was wonderful to paint in the shade. A busy coot kept swimming back and forth, so it definitely had to be included in the painting.
