A few days earlier I painted a sunset and just before sunset the sun turned red and the sky turned pink and purple. I was satisfied with the painting I had already done, but I still wanted to capture that last moment in my painting. So on another day, with roughly the same weather conditions, I went out again. I started with a base of orange, pink, purple. Set up the foreground in base and now waiting for that last moment! But alas, this time it was a beautiful but thirteen-in-a-dozen sunset…So vigorously used my imagination and memories to still get the coveted sunset in my painting!
