Sometimes I’m not quite done painting, but the painting already feels finished. I left out the pollarded willows on the bank. I thought it was beautiful enough as it was. And the artist gets to decide what goes into the painting and what doesn’t, right?! I think the atmosphere created by the light comes through beautifully in the painting.
